Recadi Technologies Turns 10: A Decade of Building Technology Around Real Business Problems
From our beginnings in 2016 to building software for organisations across South Africa, Recadi Technologies is celebrating 10 years. A decade of custom software, public-sector platforms, CRM, warehouse technology and building solutions around real operational problems.

Ten years.
In August 2016, Recadi Technologies officially began its journey.
What started with a clear belief - that technology should be built around how a business actually operates - has grown into a decade of designing, developing, implementing and supporting software for real organisations with real operational challenges.
This August, Recadi Technologies turns 10.
And for us, this milestone is about much more than the number.
It is an opportunity to look back at what we have built, the organisations that trusted us to build with them, the lessons we have learned, and where we are going next.
From custom software to enterprise platforms
Our journey has taken us through very different technology environments.
We have built custom software, enterprise applications, CRM platforms, warehouse and logistics systems, public-sector digital platforms, integrations and our own SaaS products.
One of the defining chapters in our journey has been our work with the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.
Between 2021 and 2023, Recadi supported Parliament with digital broadcasting and streaming workflows, including the management and monitoring of live parliamentary streaming feeds.
In 2023, we developed a WhatsApp chatbot designed to make parliamentary information more accessible to members of the public.
Our work with Parliament continued in 2024 with the development of a centralised digital meetings and media platform for accessing live, recorded, upcoming and historical parliamentary sessions.
But our journey was expanding in other directions too.
Building technology around operations
In 2024, Recadi was appointed to implement and support a CRM platform for INSETA, supporting stakeholder and customer queries, ticketing workflows and centralised knowledge management.
That same year, we developed a warehouse management and 3PL SaaS platform for Brima Logistics, supporting warehouse operations including goods receiving, inventory management, pallet and shelf allocation, operational workflows and customer visibility.
Our public-sector CRM journey continued when Recadi was awarded the CHIETA CRM project in 2025, expanding our experience into areas including telephone integration, call activity visibility and automated escalation workflows.
And in 2026, as we celebrate our tenth year, we are currently implementing a CRM solution for the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Different organisations. Different industries. Different operational challenges.
But the principle behind our work has remained remarkably consistent:
Understand the operation. Build the technology around it.
We believe technology should adapt to the organisation - not force the organisation to adapt to the technology.
That thinking has shaped the way we approach software development from the beginning.
We started building our own products too
Over the years, another important change happened.
We didn't only want to build software for clients.
We wanted to take what we were learning from solving operational problems and turn that experience into products of our own.
Today, that journey includes platforms such as Recenvy, our CRM and business operations platform; RWPro, our warehouse management and logistics platform; and FotaSnap, our digital event engagement platform.
For us, building our own software products has changed the way we think as a technology company.
We understand both sides: building software for an organisation and being responsible for continuously improving a software product ourselves.
Ten years of learning
A decade in technology teaches you a lot.
Technologies change.
Frameworks change.
Customer expectations change.
Business models change.
But some fundamentals don't.
Understand the problem before writing the software.
Build for real-world use.
Think beyond go-live.
Support what you build.
Keep improving.
Those principles will continue with us into the next decade.
To everyone who has been part of the journey - thank you.
To our clients who trusted us with important systems.
To the organisations that gave a growing South African technology company an opportunity to prove what it could do.
To every employee, developer, business analyst, designer, implementation specialist, partner and supplier who has contributed to Recadi over the years.
And to everyone who supported the journey along the way.
Thank you.
Ten years is worth celebrating.
But we're even more excited about what comes next.
The next decade starts here.
The first ten years built the foundation.
The next chapter is about building further — stronger products, deeper enterprise capability, bigger operational challenges and technology that continues solving real problems.
