Recadi Technologies respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it and the rights you have under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Recadi Technologies (Pty) Ltd is a South African custom software development company based in Randburg, Johannesburg. We design and develop web applications, mobile apps, CRM systems, warehouse management software, AI chatbots and business automation solutions for organisations across South Africa.

This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information through our website and our platforms. It applies to visitors to recadi.co.za, clients, prospective clients, and users of the platforms we operate.

For the purpose of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), Recadi Technologies (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information we need to respond to you, deliver our services and improve the website. This includes:

  • •Project details you share with us during scoping calls, consultations or proposals.

  • •Analytics and advertising data, such as how visitors found our site and which pages they view, collected through tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

We use personal information to:

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers and partners who help us run our business, such as hosting providers, email and communication tools, analytics providers and payment providers, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their function.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or regulator, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Recadi Technologies, our clients or the public.

Some of our service providers may process data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is protected to a standard consistent with POPIA.

6. Client data in the systems we build

Many of our projects involve building, hosting or supporting systems that contain our clients' own customer and business data. In those cases, our client is the responsible party for the data in their system and we act as an operator, processing that data only on our client's documented instructions.

If you are an end user of a system built or operated by Recadi on behalf of a client, and you have a question about how your personal information is handled in that system, please contact the relevant client first. We will assist them as needed.

7. Recenvy and Meta platform data

Recenvy is a CRM and helpdesk platform operated by Recadi Technologies (Pty) Ltd. When a business uses Recenvy, or when you message a business that uses Recenvy through Messenger or WhatsApp, the platform processes personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, message and ticket content, and basic device and browser information.

This information is used to provide the CRM and helpdesk service, respond to support requests, handle billing and improve the service. It is shared only with the hosting and cloud providers that run the platform, the payment processor that handles billing, and Meta, where conversations take place through Messenger or WhatsApp.

Businesses using Recenvy are the responsible party for their own customer data in the platform. If your information is held in Recenvy by a business you deal with, you can ask that business to access, correct or delete it, or contact us and we will assist. 8. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics and advertising measurement. These help us understand which pages are useful, remember your preferences and measure the performance of our marketing.

9. Storage and security

We store personal information on secure, access-controlled systems and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

10. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, to provide services, to maintain records required by law, or to defend legal claims. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

11. Your rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

  • •Ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate, irrelevant or out of date.
  • •Ask us to delete or destroy information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
  • •Object to or restrict the processing of your personal information.
  • •Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • •Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe we have not handled your information properly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date of the most recent update. Continued use of the website after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
